Testimonials

I approached Di to come in and tell her story to the women in a number of teams that I have been working with. I first heard Di tell her story about her “Career with Purpose” at an event last year and so much of what I heard resonated with me that I thought it would be great to share Di’s story, her successes and her lessons learnt. In talking to folks that attended each person took something different from the session and it provoked some great conversations amongst those that attended and their colleagues.

Diana Ryall's presentation at Good Return's ''Career With Purpose'' Event for 100 women was a huge success. Her life story in which she built purpose and meaning into her career and also became Managing Director at Apple in Australia was truly inspiring. What she has achieved in both the private and not-for profit sector moved the audience. We would gladly have Diana speak at other motivational events.

The Xplore Executive Women's Forum has played a huge role in empowering me to achieve my most recent career (this) goal. I have developed a strong sense of self belief and the EWF Forum has thought me the importance of embracing my worth and backing myself. A career change requires courage and I truly believe Xplore equipped me with the confidence and self belief I needed to make this change and move forward with my career.

I recently travelled with Di when visiting a Good Return partner, SECDEP (a microfinance institution) in the Philippines. The tour provided an opportunity to observe first-hand the program that Good Return has implemented in a developing country and I was very keen to have her speak to the people at Deloitte following the tour. I found her vivid recollection of the detail and technical aspects enlightening, factual and interesting for the audience. Di's knowledge of Good Return enhanced the presentation and her mastery of public speaking skills kept the audience engaged throughout.

I was an audience member in several of Di's panels and lucky to have produced (as CWA staff) one of them. What I witnessed was an audience mesmerized by Di's wisdom. Di fit into the panels and complemented her fellow panelists (largely different for every panel) as though she had worked with the people and each panel topic exclusively throughout her career. She did not cease to amaze!

Being aware of Di Ryall's professional experiences across multiple domains, I nominated her for an invitation to the prestigious Conference on World Affairs (CWA), held in Boulder Colorado for the 64th year in a row. She received and accepted our invitation, and we immediately set about placing her on relevant panels. CWA is an event whose primary format comprises panel presentations on a variety of topics over the course of a single work-week. This year's event was attended by more than 90,000 participants. Because of the breadth and depth of Di's experiences, she was assigned to, and spoke at, seven panels during the five-day event. Topics she covered included Mentoring, Multi-generational Workplace, Women in Business, Personal Appearance, Technology in the Developing World, Social Entrepreneurship, and Branding. All of her panels were well-attended, many full to capacity.

Diana recently addressed the staff at Nomura in Sydney as part of our regional commemoration of International Women's Day. It was a great opportunity to hear how someone of Diana's calibre chartered her career. Even more inspirational was her eager willingness to motivate, support and inspire younger generations. Her generous sharing of personal experiences and advice on how to deal with real work place situations had the audience fully engaged. We had postponed the event to ensure Diana could make it and I am so pleased we did. She was terrific!
